Dutch cellist Harriet Krijgh is “Prizewinner in Residence” at the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and will significantly shape the festival summer 2019. From the opening event to the grand finale with the NDR Radiophilharmonie, Harriet Krijgh will present herself in more than 20 concerts. During an “Amsterdam weekend”, she introduces the audience to the Dutch cultural metropolis and takes them on a cinematic journey to the Rijksmuseum. Even a cheese tasting and a musical bike ride can be experienced. Chamber music is an integral part of her residency: The cellist will perform together with festival prize winners such as Lucas and Arthur Jussen, Matthias Schorn, Daniel Müller-Schott or Martynas Levickis, as well as musical friends such as Baiba and Lauma Skride.
